Comments
The active and first definition of this distinctive subclade of poposaurids is based on two well known species, Chatterjeea elegans and Sillosuchus longicervix (Long and Murrry 1995, Alcober and Parrish 1997), from North America and South America, respectively. Chatterjeeinae resides within Poposauridae and does not prevent the naming of other taxa of subfamilial form within Poposauridae, as newly discovered forms may require.
