Comments | With new discoveries and redescritpion of older material, the diversity within Torvosauridae has increased in recent years. Eustreptospondylinae recognizes that diversity, with its stem-based definition anchored on Eustreptospondylus oxoniensis (Holtz et al. 2004). The definition below is a first-order revision of the initial definition that avoids the Megalosaurus bucklandi as a specifier. There is little reason to involve this speceis, when torvosaurids are now represented by taxa that are considerably more complete.
